We didn't set out to build a fintech app. We set out to answer one question that every agency owner asks but no one can cleanly answer: what is my book actually worth, today?
For 15 years I owned an agency network and never once got a valuation I trusted. Three brokers, three different numbers, three different pitches. I built WeExchange because the industry deserves better than that.
Founders of insurance agencies have always been at a structural disadvantage. We write the business, service the book, train producers, retain clients — and then when it's time to know what we're sitting on, we hand it to a broker who takes 3 to 8 percent and tells us a number they can defend, not necessarily the right one.
Public companies trade in real-time. Real estate has Zillow. Even private startups have Carta. Agencies had nothing. No standard valuation methodology, no live market signals, no neutral third party. Just spreadsheets, pitch decks, and trust.
WeExchange exists to give every agency — solo, group, MGA, brokerage — the same continuous, real-time valuation infrastructure that institutional players take for granted, with AI-written insights explaining every move. Anonymous when you want it. Liquid when you need it. Honest in either direction.
Three principles that guide every product decision we make.
A valuation should not require an engagement letter, a signed LOI, or revealing your identity. WeExchange puts a model-priced number in your hand in minutes. You can track it privately and never tell anyone you looked.
Anonymous tickers aren't a feature — they are the entire premise. Carriers, staff, competitors, and bad-actor buyers should never be able to tell you're shopping. Identity is yours to reveal, on your terms, to verified buyers only.
Solo agencies typically trade around 7×. Groups can command up to 10×. The math is real, the lift is real, and the platform should make grouping as simple as following a watchlist. We built it that way on purpose.
WeExchange is part of a coordinated suite for agency operators. Each product solves one piece of the operating stack — together they replace a half-dozen incumbents.
A small, senior team of operators and engineers. We use the products we build.
